ABA Bank, Cambodia’s leading financial institution, embarked on a new branch construction project. They desired a unique media facade that incorporated their architectural design and enhanced their brand identity. A local Cambodian contractor approached us to create a solution that met these objectives.
Challanges
The key challenge was to integrate a media facade within the existing architectural design. The facade featured a distinctive vertical aluminum fin at the top, forming an “A” shape, echoing the bank’s name. While the client desired a visually captivating media facade at night, they emphasized the importance of maintaining the building’s daytime aesthetics. Traditional lighting solutions often result in visible fixtures that could disrupt the desired clean look.
Solution
To achieve the client’s vision, we implemented a creative lighting design strategy:
Outcome
The client was immediately impressed with our proposed design concept. We then developed detailed drawings outlining the media facade layout, wiring plan, and precise lighting fixture placement. After successful installation by the local contractor, we provided remote assistance for testing and commissioning from our factory in China. This project exemplifies how lighting design can transcend mere functionality and elevate a building’s architectural identity.
